Default Car handles like poo ,(feels floaty)

Just recently had rear upper control arms changed and my car still handles like a sloppy turd, (On a plus side the knocking has stopped) any suggestions gratfully recieved.

It feels like its wandering all over the road and im just waiting the local traffic officer to stop me thinking ive been drink driving lol.

    springs are not snapped either

    Thanks

mine was like that.....it turned out to be a broken front spring which i only found when i replaced the standard springs for lowered jobbies, theres a plastic sleeve on the bottom coil and it was hiding the broken front spring. hth

Have someone and a passenger in another car observe your car at about 50mphon a two lane dual carriagway
Have them drive in front of you
As you pass their car slowly, the passenger can examine the nearside front and rear wheels
You then pull in in front, so that they can watch the rear suspension
You then allow them to pass you, and the passenger can now examine the offside rear and front wheels

The passenger is looking for wheels that "look wrong" such as are bouncing or wobbling
It is usually very noticeable when following the car under scrutiny

I`ve had my1.8 veccy for a year now and its done 145k, I`ve recently replaced the rear upper control arms and lowered it 30mm with pi springs, the front and rear shocks were replaced at 140k prior to me buying it and it now handles absolutely spot on, the springs were soft when each corner was bounced, but what a difference the 30mm lower/new springs has made to the ride and handling, I`m well chuffed for an outlay of approx £170 and a few hours to do the replacements oh I`ve also put keiForce10 17ins alloys on her.

yeah thinking more tired shocks and springs than snapped, as its just had mot and they didnt pick up on springs but they did say UCA's needed changing oh and slight play in o/s and n/s track rod ends (sorry only just dug out mot advice sheet)
gonna get track rod ends and lowered with shocks done, hopefully it will feel better again.
also Ive done 115k in car now and springs have a tendency of going soft on me (INSERT PUN HERE)
