Default Best way to sell a car privately

So, whats the best way to sell a car privately and get the sort of price you want.

Ebay? Auto trader? sticker in the window?

How have you sold cars in the past with the least hassle?
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

eBay seems the quickest to get rid (at a reduced price) - Autotrader is expensive and dependant on car can take time - never sold one with signs in the window, even though I have tried a few times.

I usually use AT and eBay.

I just got a reasonable deal with webuyanycar.com. Only took an hour and money was in my account the next day! No test pilots, advertising costs or tyre kickers!

I have used ebay..most hassle. People want a gift if you know what I mean.
Auto trader & local paper classified. Good regional cover & on line too. Its costs a bit but, you should recoup that and more with a better price.

There is Exchange & Mart too of course.

Prices for used cars are stable too.
    Good luck

We sold the missus Coupe in the Autotrader. It was a one off lucky experience though as it sold within an hour of the car appearing on their Website. It never made it to the magazine itself because I withdrew the advert.

We could have sold it five times over but it was a genuinly low mileage, one lady owner from new type of thing and looked stunning in black. I think my Vec. might take a wee while longer.

I wouldn't use ebay tend to find people want it for nothing, I've tried adverts on the car, adverts on forums, but the last 2 cars I sold all sold within a week after putting them on AT online.
