Just would need a custom exhaust system on it.
Seems very good value for money if you fit it yourself. Keep low boost and you won't have to do a piston swap.

Cor! Now if they just did one for the 2.2 at that price I might be tempted!
Probably same kit mate?
Just sent them an email asking if they do it Spikey, if ya did want to do it I would fit it cos I like that type of thing if you were interested? I have asked a few details about remapping etc. and the rest.

Tempted to get a kit and throw it on the 2.0 8v on the Frontera to see how easy it fits on, how the engine management works with it etc. etc.
That is a damn good price. Without running silly boost you would easily get away with standard internals.
Doesn't hugely matter if it is a 1.8 or 2.2, still 4 pots and the exhaust manifold design is most likely to be simular?
You would get that fitted, custom exhaust on and payed for the system for under £2k I would reckon EASILY. Depending on ECU remap....
Got a reply:
We can provide you with a partial turbocharger kit for your application. Which is everything that's within a full turbocharger kit minus the turbo exhaust manifold... which you could have easily fabricated elsewhere from a standard exhaust manifold and the relevant turbocharger flange (which we could supply you with), or completely custom made at any half decent exhaust shop. Would cost around £900 for this kit. If you're interested get back in touch. And no you wouldn't need a remap due to the inclusion of our Special AFPR.Cheers, Kyle - Hostyle Performance Tuning.
So sent him one back enquiring on manifolds. As well as what boost it runs, if it is a rising rate regulator etc. etc.
Go on mate you know you want to...Originally Posted by CDTi
sounds like it's strap a turbo on and up the fuel pressure kit plus its an oil cooled turbo. and I recon the lag would be great too
