    Default I did the airbox mod...ermmmmm

    It does idle smoother. No wobble at cold idling in neutral when just turned over and started.

    It pulls smoother through the gears-and less accelerator pedal is needed to move the beast along. The lag feels lessened as the turbo spools up.

    Dare I say it, the first gear hesitation is better, now the EGR is cleaned, Boost Valve cleaned, and now the plastic air box part removed...

    ...So, why is the plastic bit there in the airbox? Everything does has a purpose right? Any long term damage concerns with the plastic part removed permanently? Is is there to keep the frost off the MAF on colder mornings as a shield etc?

    make a blanking plate for EGR valve two holes 6.5 mm, sweet! Then have the whole air intake rail off and cleaned!

    6.5 mm for the plate to be attached or holes in the actual plate? have you done this? any vast improvements??

    6.5 mm for the holes in the plate for bolts just .5 mm over bolt size cant remember now had it done for 3 months? had the engine management light on 3 times for 5 secs or so in the first week no limp mode but fine ever since.
