    Default good car vacs

    Hi gang,
Well i spent a good 2 hours cleaning/hoovering the car out on saturday, you know how it is, plugging the extension lead in then dragging the hoover out etc. Ive always found that the hoover is the best item for the suction . Anyway, the misses went to collage today and kindly decided to have her dinner in the car, so now the passenger seat is covered in crumbs. Now i carnt be bothered to drag all the above out to hoover those crumbs and was wondering if anyone can recommend me a decent car vac and how much. As it will save future problems, thanks.

I've got a Black & Decker DustBuster which someone bought me a few years ago. It wasn't particularly cheap, so I guess it may have been one of the 'better' models available at the time.

However, it's not very good at all. Having seen several of these portable vacs since, I really don't rate them myself. They are ok for the odd crumb here and there, but do seem to struggle with most things, and not really worth the trouble. If you're an absolute perfectionist (like me), then they're ok to have with you if you're on the road, and can't wait until you get home.

Best one I've seen is the Dyson Animal approx £80+ but its really good, run time on the batteries is approx 10mins so unless you have a really dirty car these will be fine

Yep Dyson all the way. On a lighter note, a push bike for the missus or a bus ticket if she wants to make a mess with food. No food or drink within 10m of my car!!
