    Default Cambelt snapped

Has anybody with the 120 cdti ever had a cambelt snap? It had on mine and i have just found ou the reason. I was cursing the 100k interval after mine had snapped on 72k but it seems there was a darker reason. The vacuum pump thats attached on the end of the cylinder head was to blame!! The drive between the pump and the camshaft is just a bit of cast metal but it snapped in two pieces and jamed the camshaft!! Obviously the belt wont stop the crankshaft from turning so it snapped, if the garage that i bought it off had stamped my service book properly then i could probably have tried to get cash off vx to help.
