Default Yellow warning light regarding bulb.

Hey, had a bulb go on my vectra C 2002 (52) LS 2.2, I was alerted with the yellow warning light come on in the dashboard, so I bought some H7 xenon bulbs off ebay for about £3, and got the side lights for about £3 aswell. Just fitted them all (was a real pain getting to the drivers side) and turned the lights on, all lights working, but the yellow light still shows up as if to say I still have a bulb out, any reason why this is so? Thanks.

    Danny.

I don't have the trip computer, just a little warning light comes up, in yellow, with a bulb shape, an exclamation mark in the middle and 3 lines diagonally, and horizontally behind the bulb, i'm just assuming this is saying there's a problem with the lights.

It's case of working your way around the bulbs and seeing which has failed

Usually it is the rear cluster which gives a false positive, the brake lights are sensitive as they are dual-load, as a result you turn on all your lights and indicators, walk round the car and find none have failed
You should find one of the brake light bulbs has a slightly burnt look to it
I then swap these on both sides for the tail lamp
The tail lamp then goes a few weeks later and it gets replaced

From what I can see, both rear lights are working, will have to check brake lights later, when I have company

It's quite sunny atm, so I could be wrong about the lights, will check later on when the darkness falls.

I drive to my local petrol station and reverse up to the glass at the car wash, which pretty much acts as a mirror
I then check the rear tail lights, brake lights, rear fog, and reverse lights
It is easier during the hours of darkness, but I've done it during daylight without any problem, although the glass in the car wash is new and clean!
