Default locking the engine for cambelt change 1.9cdti 150

    Chaps,
I am following the how to for the cambelt change on a cdti150, and am trying to remove the crank fanbelt pully. I have tried having the car in gear with foot on brake but there is still too much give in the engine to crack the pully bolt.
Is there any other way of locking the engine to remove this bolt?

I have removed the 4 bolts on the crank fan belt pully but i thought i also needed to undo the 19mm centre bolt to release it. Should it come off with just the 4 small bolts removed and if so what sort of persuasion should I use?
