Default Had enough of this ****** car now!

I just cant believe these damn vectra's are so much trouble!!

Ive always kept an eye on the swirl bar and my most recent examination was about 4 days ago while checking oil.The bar was on fine with just a tiny amount of dry gunk around the 4 swirl pot.

I checked today and the 4th swirl pot is soaking wet with oily gunk and had jumped off the bar and is poking out about 5mm out of the hole. The 2nd swirl pot is starting to lift out about 2mm and the 1st is looking very loose.

From what i can make out its the vibrations from the engine(very shaky and sounds like a tractor) has shaken them loose.I didnt really notice how bad it was untill i compared it to another vectra today

There is also a hissing sound comming from the back left of the manafold which i cant quite locate accuratly due to the noise of the engine.

Along with the 28mpg im getting and the constant buzzing through the pedals(assuming its the engine vibrations) i doubt ill still have the car at xmas.

Just cant believe it becasue this was my dream car and couldnt believe it was actually mine sat outside my house.

yes i did know there was a good change it would need doing but the car isnt that old and only done 67k.The rate that it deteriorated was alarming...matter of a few days infact.

Its a shame coz i love the car aswell as hate it.It woudnt bother me as much if i didnt have the Poor fuel consumption aswell.

does the vibration through the pedal stop when you press the clutch? If so your DMF is on its way out.

As for the fuel consumption when was it last serviced?

This hissing could be a split intercooler hose which would give you bad MPG as well as some smoke out the back.

no mate the vibration doesnt go when i press the clutch pedal in.

The hissing sounds seems to be comming from the back of the engine bloack and to the left....above the alternator

Probably a shot manifold flap seal (the bit which rotates), it can lose boost pressure from there. Happened to a car I worked on.
