    Default Heater blower stopped working

    Hi

my heater blower has stopped working. Iv checked the fuses and they seem fine. When i turn the blower dial 1 through 4 nothing happens but when i push the clear windowscreen button its starts to blow air onto the window. Is it the same blower for the cockpit vents as the one that blows onto the window? If so then i can rule out the blower itself. Any other ideas? Maybe its the toble switch itself. is the any quick fault diagnosis i can do to find out what the problem is??

Thanks so much, and feedback will be greatly appreciated

    Alan.

what make/ model have you got?

ive got the same problem with my 53plate signum - if you trawl the forums here there are a few examples of the same problem - think its an inherent fault with the design of the heating system that means the rheostat fails when water gets into it via the pollen filter?

I've got a similar problem with my 53 Signum. Washed it on Tuesday and the heater made a noise like a constipated frog then stopped working even though the settings changed when I moved the dials. I've left it for a couple of days while I got my sister's Audi remapped.

Went back to pick the car up tonight and the heater's running before I even get into the sodding car! Now I can't stop it! It's in for MOT tomorrow, so I've taken the fuse out. God knows what's going to happen when I put the fuse back in - maybe it'll change into a Saab? I'll keep you posted.....
