    Default Vauxhall customer services

I've had my vec for 6 months and it needed new shocks which of course network q say is not covered by warranty. Would it be worth a complaint to vauxhall customer services to say the garage who supplied the car to me clearly did not do a multipoint check, as the shocks must have been on their way out when i bought it.

you can try, very much doubt it though

6 months is a long time for something to develop a fault. One month maybe you could get away with it

    but not 6.

Shocks wear over a period of time they do not go suddenly. If they are oil it would have been apparant through a visual inspection.....saying that they could have just started to go and 6 months later they need replacing I can,t see that they would replace them but you never know until you try and you have nothing to lose!

I had my rear shocks replaced under Network Q warranty and at the time I had the signum for 11months. So I would have a go at customer services.

Having said that, they basically told me to go away when I complained about the front springs breaking.

If they were on their way out, surely you'd have noticed in 6 months of driving.
