    Default Greased Lightning, ShowRoom Shine

saw this on ideal world the other day, i know 21 and watching ideal world lol, but basically for those that dont know its a waterless wash with incorporated wax. i did think to myself if it was possible to get the results that they were showing on the tv, so i delved online and found a 1ltr bottle and 4 microfibres for 15 quid. so im going to give it a bash at the weekend when i get home.

will get some pics up as soon as i have done the car. but has anyone else ever used this stuff or stuff similar and what are you verdicts on it?

I have some of this and its great as a cleaner wax and a middle range protection. Please dont use it to wash your car though as all that muck caught on the cloth will just scratch the hell out of the paint. Stick with the tried and tested method for washing.

I washed mine first too lol.

Did give a good shine and was quite easy but I found that the spray got in all the gaps possible like between pannels and in the grille which was a pain to get out! On the whole, for £15 and I think there were some cloths thrown in too, worth the money.

I have some of this and must admit its pretty good. I didnt wash my car first although it wasn't very dirty and it came out really nice. As said before a pain to get out of all the knooks and cranys.

One bad point....the spray gun is crap to say the least, the trigger gets stuck all the time and leaks all over you hands. Dunno if that was just mine or if they are all like it.

My other car. 1972 1641cc slammed beetle. On the road finally!!

Yep, they're all like that and I've been using it for just over 3 years. I bought a spray pump from the Pound Shop last year and it's been OK so far.

Instead of sparaying it onto the bodywork, try spaying onto a damp microfibre - no overspray and been damp, the Spray and Shine goes further.
