    Default 54 reg vectra "c" 2.0 DTi clutch help!!

    hi can any body help me ive just bought my 2nd vectra its a 2 ltr dti and it needs a clutch as its slipping, the thing im trying to find out does this have a dual mass flywheel or is it just a standard 1 and wheres the best place to buy a clutch..... thanks

    Hi Bud bad news,full mass fitted cost is £750 +.shop around for best price ,don't be tempted to short cut and just fit clutch you'l end up doing it again a few thousand miles down the road

    I had a scare with mine back in May.... slipping like mad then never did it again...

    Lol somthing else for us to look forward to eh diet!! £750 fly wheel, £2000 fuel pump..... lol

    then it would just be the labour ud need to fork out for. and euro car parts are a decent company as well, just give them a phone and thell help you out so you get the right part.

    lol 2.0DTI's are chisled out of stone but when a bit goes it costs the earth, id recomend tesco car warrenty advanced cover as they cover wear and tear including cluches!

    I can NEVER EVER let Sophie read this thread.... If the fuel pump went id be screwed.

    haha thats why im waiting on ....cant remeber his name on here.... but hes working on a way of strenghing them. lol thats probs what the cars worth these days with the current deprisiation. lol the 1.9 drains your wallet over time the DTI's just do it in a oner lol

    oh yeh just thought as well, if its a flywheel change needed there are usually some knocking about eBay new ones o'corse. just check the part no.

    hi

    diet1985 its only done 65000 miles..... And just to update about the

    clutch, its not a dual mass flywheel....

    Just got a full clutch kit including the slave cylinder from euro car parts for

    £180.43 in total.... just to fit it now.......

    Not sure if they are all the same but my car with engine code Y20DTH

    doesnt have a dual mass flywheel......

    i can assure you the y20dth engine does have a dual mass flywheel and i`m in hurlford mate if you want to pop over and see the 2004 2.0 dti one i had removed last week

    the full kit is £519 delivered to your door

    that`s the flywheel,clutch plate,cover plate and slave cylinder all LUK items as is originally fitted to this model of car new as all my old items are in my garage stamped luk and i`ve had the car from new so they were originals

    oh and my clutch was slipping to but it wasn`t the clutch at fault it was the faulty flywheel making the clutch slip

    the kit i bought in the link below but i had to pay slightly more than advertised as my flywheel was a different part no to this advertised kit but only a few quid more note in the description the engine code y20dth dual mass flywheel
