Default Car desperately needs a service....

I know, I know, but its not been done since June (I know!) last year and has covered 20k miles since then.

    Its a 150 CDTI and is now on 58k miles. She's had 4 services @ Vx (20k / 40k / 60k / 80k) and is on the 12 month / 20k mile service intervals.

So she's due her 5th service, well its overdue actually.

What is done at this interval?? There is no way in the world I can afford to take her to Vx, as Im the only one earning at the mo and I've just spent £220 on 2 new tyres for her.

What parts do I need for a self service? Or do you recommend any independants in the Wirral / Liverpool area that could do it for me?

Dont really want to run her for much longer wihtout a service.

Do you have Tesco points ?

A full service at Nationwide is £55 or £75 for a major one using tesco clubcard vouchers.

You use the vouchers that Tesco send you, you need £55 worth, each £1 is worth £4 when connverted into deals, if you are short you can add cash

IF you can travel there is MPG (Mid Point Garage) near middlewich, off J18 of the M6. May be a little cheaper...their website http://www.midpointgarage.co.uk/

    MPG are independant Vx specialist.

I now have the latest VX Vectra C Service Documents for all models (arrived on Monday)

    5th service, 100K miles, CDTI 1.9 150

    Parts :
    Air Cleaner (pollen filter)
Toothed belt and tension roller [ie cambelt]
Engine oil and engine oil filter [GM-LL-B-025]

That's the basic components, if you are doing it yourself then you may want to upgrade the check and visuals on the fuel filter to replacement
Equally, the air filter is every 40K miles (so just take it out, bang it, hover it, put it back in!)
The V-belt is also every 80K miles which I find unusual, I personally think it is best done along with the cambelt, so check the receipts to see if it was done
