Radio turns on every time I start the car

This is driving me mad. I've searched the threads but can't find one on this........the issue is that every time I start the car the radio turns on, irrespective of whether it was on or off when I last stopped the car and turned the ignition off. I've got Ignition Logic set so that the radio works when the ignition is on I just don't want the radio to start every time I start the car. I.e. I'd like to choose if it goes on, not the car making the decision for me. Is there anyway to turn this 'feature' off and make it behave like every other car I've owned?...or is it a fault?

Mine does the same. To be honest it's never really annoyed me because I always like to have the radio on anyway so it's just one less thing I have to fiddle with when I get in the car

I thought 'ignition logic' did this for you and is programmed per key..

I also prefer it this way
Key in = radio on
As soon as I remove the key = radio off

There is a section in the audio manual for manual radio control...
I'm just reading it, same instructions for all models, dotted throughout the manual

Disabling automatic switch-on
Switch on ignition
Switch off radio
Press presets 1 and 3 and keep pressed in
Display will show IGNI ON
Confirmation bleep
Display will show IGNI OFF

I thought 'ignition logic' did this for you and is programmed per key..

Ignition Logic allows the radio to either ("on") work when the ignition is switched on/radio switches off when ignition turned off (like almost every other car) or ("off") work independently of the ignition i.e. you can turn it on when the key isn't in etc. Annoyingly with this is setup is that when you take the key out after a drive the radio stays on whatever.

My issue is slightly different in that I've got it set to "on" i.e. power to the stereo is delievered when ignition is turned on it's just that it doesn't remeber what state the radio was in when I last got out of the car. If I get in and start the car the radio comes back on even if it was off when I loast drove; what is this nonesense?

Mine does it, too, and goes through phases. Sometimes it always turns on, sometimes never. Sometimes it plays the CD, sometimes not.
Mine's a prefacelift CCR2006, with ignition logic enabled. When I mentioned it to my dealer, he just raised his eyes to heaven and said that VX keep saying there will be a fix for it, one day.

Scroll through the programmes on the radio unit using the buttons.
IGN LOGIC ON - OFF is an option.
OFF and its manual but, it doesnt turn off when your turn the ignition off...
ON and its ignition controlled.
Not the best system I agree, but that what we have here.

I turned this off on my wife's Zafira but something else stopped workinag and can't remember what it was, but I enabled it again.

Tried it but nothing. Even kept the buttons pressed in for 30 secs, still nothing. Is this definitely the right order? I've not got the manual to hand to re-check.
