    Default general pc question

    can anyone tell me how i can stop messenger from starting up when i turn the computer on or just get rid of it. i hav not one of the quickest computers and that slows it down even more.... thanks

    Right click messenger, click exit

    Start
    Control panel
    Add/Remove programs
    Windows live
    Click yes, and uninstall!

    Thats the same for Vista & XP

    Within Messenger go to 'Tools', then 'Options'. On the left hand side there should be a 'Sign In' tab, go to that and then click in the box to remove the tick from the 'Automatically Run Messenger when I log into Windows' option.

    This will vary depending on the version of Messenger being used.

    Download and install Advanced System Care from IOBIT (Its legal & free), click on Utilities>Admin tools> Startup manager, then uncheck the box for messenger and click apply, no more messenger, and a better running PC

    goto start>run type "msconfig" then goto goto startup tab
