Who out of all the BSR club are going to brave the pod strip at PVS next week!!!!
A bit of healthy competition never hurt anyone.

Well, I did it recently at the Santa Pod meet and enjoyed it. I'd like to do it again as I definitely reckon I could have got a better time than I did (16.3) but TC cutting in (need to get it Tech 2'd off) and very cold tyres didn't help - my excuses anyway!

The weather at PVS should be hotter than the last meet (it'd better be!) and there'll be more cars going down the strip, so better overall conditions BUT the downside of that means bigger queues and you can apparently wait up to TWO hours for a run!!

If that's the case, then bollox to it. I'll be enjoying myself on the stand/BBQ/around the Pod

Can you Tech2 off Traction Control?

Yes indeedy. It's a bit hidden in one of the menus (I've had to show the Tech in the past where to go when I've gone on RR days) but yes, it can be turned off.

You want to disable it permanently? - as opposed to just for a drag strip run?

The reason I ask is that the same menu option also knocks out the ABS! Okay for a short time but you probably don't want to have that always off?

I would love to disable it all the time, ABS isn't an issue. I personally don't like ABS!

Sick of it cutting in.

Alternatively can you remove a fuse without throwing a CEL?

On my car, if I remove either of the fuses that relate to TC, the engine dies or it won't start - big warning icon each time. I know that other guys (with other engines) have pulled a fuse to kill TC and not had a problem. That may be the first thing to try?

I can't recall from memory the menu it's in on the Tech 2, but if you had one in your hand I'd be able to guide you to it. If you have the chance one day to get to a Tech 2, feel free to give me a ring and I'll guide you. (I can PM you a mobile).
