iirc on the side is a notch, you split the key there, then just slide open. thats assuming they are the same as the f/lift omega keys

You really should have two keys
A complete new and programmed key will cost you about £110, you could then keep the faulty one as spare
You can't get the old fixed blade ones any more, it needs to be the new-style flip-blade

You could buy a replacement pod from eBay UK, then swap the blade, but you are still going to have to reprogram the pod, and you are looking at about £60 for the programming (plus say £15 for the key)
You are saving £35, but is it worth the saving given all the hassle
Either way, you will need to take ALL the keys and the car for reprogramming

I replaced one of my keys, where the pod stopped working, and the warranty refused to cover as they key itself still allowed access to the car and ignition
    I now have a new-style flip-blade, an old-style spare, and a broken spare

is it the rubber that's failing or is the printed circuit board damaged ?
if its the rubber there's a website you can send off for the membrane replacements this would be a major saving on costs = if its the pcb then a replacement keys the way forward !
