secret airbox mod

my mates dad asked me to service his 1.8 vec-c yesterday, so changed the oil,air filter and put a set of plugs in and gave it a good check over, when i was changing the air filter i couldnt help myself and removed the plastic bit inside the airbox
got a phone call from my mates dad late lastnight, he was wondering what i had done to his motor.......as it had never pulled as good and it seemed like a different car!!! hmmmmm i wonder.....pmsl

i removed the plastic cover on the air intake on the bottom part of the air box under the filter element

It's probably a combination of the new air filter and plugs. Is it worth changing the plugs before the 4yr/40000 mile limit. Seems a long time to me.

Nice one , I changed my plugs after 22k as yes it does seem a long time to me!
