    Found this out by mistake, locked my cousins keys in his car with my old escort key !!

    Wasnt happy

    My first car a 'D' reg Escort, the keys would open and start my bosses daughters 'C' reg Escort. Thats fords for ya

    My first car was a MKI fezza and I could open that with my front door key!

    i used to have half a tenis ball and a few screw drivers, would open most things

    when i had my nova gte the remote alarm key fob would ope/close my mates car as would his with mine his was an astra pain in the rear at times

    I have heard of one other occasion this happened. its was a mk5 astra & an new corsa-d.
    Did you say or mention this to the merc owner?? i bet she'd be peed off.

    yes and both of us laughed and waved goodbye, the laugh was probably out of disbelief. I hope she didn't take my number because I didn't take hers. She acepted that I made sure her car was locked before I went shopping and thanked me, it's a good job i,m no that way inclined or I could have riffled through her car!
