what type of headlamps ??

i want to upgrade my lamps in my headlights,

does anyone know the types used,

ie,, H1 , H4 , H7 ??

and which is which for the main beam and the dipped beam ?/

Don't know off the top of my head. Is it not in the owners manual? Failing that, maybe just whip them out and have a look?

very true I managed to change one while I was at LMF and one of steves' mates changed the other as I couldn't do it.

you could try going somewhere like halfruds and asking them to change the bulbs for you

Get a Gsi - you don't have to change them then! (not the dipped beam anyway!)

Definitely H7.
I replaced mine with Phillips Vision Plus, which work fine, but it was a pretty painful process!

The main head light bulbs were a doddle i thought. It was the side light bulbs i really struggled with, in particular the drivers side where i couldnt get the dust cover back on the back of the unit. Took me 20 mins to change both headlights, yet 30 mins just to get the side light cover back on.

The passenger side is easy as the washer bottle filler next just pulls off, giving you access.
