Pls help, what is the proper name for the unit that turns high level speaker outputs into low level rca's? And also do they drag all the power/volume from the output or just take a little? Cheers.

Nice one BA, thats what im after. When I saw the price of the top one I got a bit scared, but then saw the other. Now anyone have the answer to the second part of the question. The reason I ask is that I still want to use the rear outputs for speakers and not just for amp inputs.
here you go rushy

i have one of these installed because i have amp powering a set of 6-9s on my rear shelf but my pioneer headunit only had front and subwoofer output. so i had to connect this to my rear speaker wires at the back of the head unit then the rca's went from it to my amp sound quality is spot on plus i doesen't draw any power i dont think![]()
Cheers david the bid is in.
good man thats a good price imo![]()
A bit more help pls david, where does the ground loop cable go mate? Earth or amp remote?
hi mate i don.t know what you mean all i done with mines was i had my 4 speakers wires that came out the converter hooked them up to rear speaker cables then i hooked up the rca cables to the amp then in to the converter does this help
On this one it has an earth lead coming out the same side of the rca's. Now earth to me would go to the body but on the picture it looks like it goes to the amp.
That could be to stop any floating voltages between the headunit and the amp
