Does anyone know of anything that can dissolve or remove superglue?? The other night at work someone kindly poured superglue into the locks on a mates car.

You can get specific superglue remover. Breaks the glue down enough so that he could, hopefully, get a key in the lock.

You can get small bottles of it from B&Q etc but may not be enough, or easy to get into the lock. You can buy it in a spray from specialist places.

Acetone is supposed to be able to remove it. Nail varnish remover contains acetone. Be careful near plastic though or else it might melt it.

Not just plastic, if it drips onto the paint on the door it'll mark it.

Yep, that's the stuff I was referring to. B&Q et al should sell it.

Good point. Mind you, I would imagine anything strong enough to disolve superglue would mark the paint. If it were me, I'd remove the lock and do the clean up on a bench or other work surface.
