Worth doing? Maybe for aesthetic purposes only if you like as it won't provide and real world performance gains.

Somebody did this when the 1.8 airbox mod was doing the rounds with regard to lining the GSi smaller air intake.

I can't imagine that on a naturally aspirated engine that it would not make that much difference, particularly if you use the smaller intake, which is already taking cooler air into the airbox.

I didn't vote, so am sitting on the fence: If it's cheap, I'd go for it!

The entire advert smells of - catch me at a meet sometime mate and I'll give you something similar I can get hold of for free. More than likely the same stuff - just aluminium tape...

although the theory is there(read somewhere that you lose x% bhp per degC temp rise) i think it would be pretty useless.. IMO i'd spend the ££ on cold air feeds..

If you want to lower the intake temperature on a 2.2 then get the shorter GSi intake, but with the shorter intake the torque will drop also.

You won't see any difference, and if you don't do it right, it can look a right mess.

    Leave alone.
