remove bottom cap, insert one of those small desiccant type bags (moisture absorber) that you get with a new pair of shoes or some electronics equipment and refit the cap.

When I drilled a small hole in the cap, the foglight filled up with muddy water when I went through a deep puddle.

Underneath mate. You can put your hand up and just twist it off. I take it that its the passenger one? That one always fogs up because of spillages from filling the windscreen washer bottle.

After mine filled up with muddy water, I removed it from the bumper and washed all the muck out. Afterwards I then submerged it in a sink full of water. On the back is a breather where water entered the unit. Under normal circumstances water shouldn't get through this breather as it has to snake and weave its way through some channels first and travel uphill.

I lifted the unit slightly out of the water so nothing could get in through the breather and no more water got inside.

Thoroughly dried the unit out overnight and refitted the next day. Later that evening it had misted up inside again - grrrr.

Since fitting the bag of desiccant some 3 or 4 months ago, it hasn't misted up since. That reminds me, I must change the bag for some fresh stuff sometime. Fortunately there is ample supply of the stuff at work and I can also recycle the old stuff as we warm it up in an oven to dry the desiccant out and re-use.

As mentioned, there is also a snorkel kit available, but have no idea of its effectiveness
