Thumbs down 2.2 direct clutch misery

Hi guys, been having some problems recently, looks like a new clutch and flywheel job. Problem is started the car this morning and the engine managment light came on straight into limp mode . Fault code is (0420 unknow fault). Is this related to the clutch/flywheel ? because if i have another big bill the matches might have to come out.

Check the O2 sensors mate. If you had a new cat fitted then its part of the manifold and I'm sure both will have been moved.

It does smell a bit rich. Will do a search to find how to check them

What I mean is if you have got a new cat fitted and the problem came straight after then the plug might not be connected properly. I've got no idea how to how to check if the sensor is giving a false reading though.

i got the sensor out and back in real easy being very carefull not to contaminate. The wire coming from the sensor looks a bit twisted. In all very happy with they way i fitted the cat. The sensor was in a bad way as you would expect having covered 139k.
