We regularly transport grandchildren (5 and 2) several times a week. When my daughter recently had a 3rd we looked into this problem extensively (also with the aid of Mothercare and Halfords) We currently have a Britax Evolver Ultra for the older one and a Maxi Cosi XP for the younger. Unfortunately we tried just about every combination available, and didn't find a solution. By replacing the Britax with a narrower seat, we managed to just about cram 3 seats in, but were advised it was unsafe as the seats overlapped slightly. My daughter who had a Saab 9-3 had the same problem, and ended up replacing hers with a Renault Scenic .

Its a shame that Vauxhall don't specify a Front passenger airbag cutoff switch as an option. The Scenic has that as do Volvo V70s, Mercedes C and E class estates, and I believe Audi A6s (ideas for the future ) - not BMWs though ! So for now we just have to "manage around the problem" - take 2 cars or don't go at all!

Thanks all, im sure i could get 3 seats in, if they touch thats fine by me as long as they fit firm. Anyone with 3 seats fitted know the make/model, i have 2 seats already but am prepared to buy 3 new seats.

Seen some high back booster seats that may fit but i think they'll need to be 5 point belts as ill never get my hand between them to buckle up. or buckle extensions i suppose.

The Multimac is an option too, but very expensive and dont look very comfy to me.

    Thanks

Would be interesting to know which model car seats you used. Maybe our problem is the combination of trying to fit 1 booster (made with side and back supports), plus 1 regular child seat and 1 baby carrier......Perhaps it will be easier when we can use 2 boosters.

the 2 outer seats right now is "indy car plus" http://www.janeusa.com/indyplus.htm thats used by the "big" kids.

The smaler one is currently a "noname" 5 belt seat, face forward, it has to be faceforward in the middelseat, due to the seatbelt isnt that long there...

To begin with we han one of those shown on page 90 here http://cde.netpublications.com/1Z49a3f051d8d65012.cde

now we have the one that looks like the top one on page 94

But do note.. you will NOT be able to use the ISO fix.. onless you have a very narrow middel chair...
