Signum Chrome Fog Surrounds

Well i have been searching but havent found any definitive answers to my question...
I took this from the parts number section:
Signum chrome fog surrounds (pre facelift)
LHS chrome part - 13120744
RHS chrome part - 13120745
LHS plastic part (backing) - 13120200
RHS plastic part (backing) - 13120201

Now to fit the chrome parts do I need to buy the backing sections or will the chrome parts fit onto the plastic parts of my existing fog surrounds?

You need the new backings mate, about 26 quid for everything
