    Default signum..grinding noise from rear

hi all,had my signum for about 12 months now and recently,(approx 3 months ago),noticed a grinding/scraping noise from both rear wheels,my first thought was a brake or disc issue, but these seem to be o.k,the discs are worn but no lines to indicate deep scoring also the noise is always present not just under braking(which i would expect with pad/disc wear)had the mot and i was given an advisory note that both rear bearings are worn,
is this the cause of the grinding/scraping noise?,if so is it an expensive job?
model is an 05 signum elite with 19" vxr alloys, these came with the car when i bought it,(not my first choice as i understand big alloys can damage bearings),
thanks in advance for any help/advice you may be able to offer me

Had the same problem as you. Mine were as jim says, outside was fine, inside was bad. new discs, pads and sliding bolts sorted it out a treat.
