    Default Brakelights

I need some help guys if possible,i got home from work today to be greeted by my wife explaining to me that the brakelights on my veccy are staying on and they wont go off.Has anyone got any ideas what the problem might be,I have removed the fuse in the mean time.I also should mention that i replaced my 3rd brakelight about 5 weeks ago but i have had no problems since i fitted it.

Look down by the brake pedal and there should be a push switch and it should be adjustable so adjust it and test each time you adjust it half a turn at a time. hope this helps.

I have seen it written, that if no matter what you try regarding the brake lights / pedal switch etc...if you still can't get the brake lights to go out, then this is said to be a tell tale that the "main" ecu has a fault on it.

What they mean by main I don't know as there are well over a dozen used in the Vectra C.

Stealer visit will be needed unless you have a friend with Tech 2 equipment.

i adjusted it as it was held by 2 nuts so undoing one whilst tightening the other and then checking to see if the lights went on and off although these were citroens not vauxhalls but i would have thought they would be a similar idea.
