Default Denison Icelink - wiring advice please?

    Hi Guys,

finally got my arse into gear and looking at fitting this into the car! Im reconing on tapping into the cigarette lighter, but that has only two wires going into it.

In the simplest of terms on the icelink i have:

    Black wire - Ground
    Red wire - constant +12v
    Purple wire - switched +12v

I have the spades all ready to connect etc, but please could someone suggest which wires to tap into on a facelift vec sri? Please could you also tell me the colours as i dont have a volt meter to hand??

Massive thanks to anyone who can help.

    Mike

Join the red and purple wires together from the icelink (you could leave the red unconnected)
You need to connect the black from the icelink to the outer ring on the cigarette lighter and the purple and red (or just red) to the inner contact.

if you want to connect it all properly, then you will have to connect the red wire to a constant live source (passanger side fusebox) - but you'll need a meter to find a constant live source.
