clutch down and ping someone help

hi all yet another problem driving home tonite and put my clutch in and heard a ping,clutch still works although it feels a little softer than normal but no cruise control,i know this is proberly a common fault,but could someone please explain to me whats happend and what i need to do to fix it,thankyou in advance

Sounds like the clutch pedal spring has popped out. Have a search as I am sure its on here somewhere on fitting a new one (or refit the old one)

my spring was broken so i just bent the metal holding the switch for C/C...now no more spring problems..
