A bit of help please..Pioneer AVH-P3100DVD.

I've just got this HU today and i am impressed so far.
Does the 'parking brake' wire have to be connected up for the DVD to work?
Plus, is it possible to play DVDs while driving?
I've put a DVD in, and the sound comes on but no picture?

I haven't connected the HU's handbrake wire up yet.

any ideas?

You need the handbrake cable connected for this to work .Just connect to any earth.But its illegal to have a dvd playing in the front whilst moving.

If its an earth yes.Even behind a nut on the bulkhead would do, if you scrape off a bit of the paint.Save running a wire down to cig lighter

I had to swap the red and yellow over to get the unit to work initially.

One thing, if you just want to play music off your ipod thru the unit, the white ipod apple ipod cable works fine - no need to buy the pioneer ipod cable - saving you about £25 !!
