    Default Rear End Shunt

Well gutted! On my way to Manchester airport on the M6 (J16 northbound) to pick up my sister in law, and got rear ended
Six cars involved, all kicking off with a Renault Clio not stopping in time. The Clio hit the back of a shogun, which hit the back of a Merc, which hit the back of a Pug 407, Which hit me - pushing my car into a BMW. Its left me with light front end damage, and moderate rear end damage - including a boot lid which wont close. To make matters worse, this was followed up by 3 hours in A&E with the wife being treated for whiplash injuries.
What a great start to the bank holiday weekend!
Just thankful there wasn't anybody seriously injured or killed.
Attached photos include the offending Clio, and my Veccy injured in the line of duty!

Glad you both are ok. Hope you get your motor sorted soon, and hope your wifes whiplash is not too painfull. I have suffered from it in a rear end shunt by a lorry many years ago.

Your right. Well spotted! they are after market alloys - and it makes no difference whether he declared them or not - cos hes only insured 3rd party! so hes lost everything anyway.
And thanks for the messages of support guys, its strange coming from alot people ive never had the pleasure to meet - but it means alot.

well reason i say it is because insurance might say he didnt declare them making his insurance void meaning you may have to claim directly from the lad driving, would have been very shocked if he had insured that old thing fully comp!

you might also want to get yourself checked out, i didnt after a crash i was in, still to this day, 5 years later i suffer quite badly with it and im told i walk with more of a hunch trying to take the weight off my neck, i can honestly say its made my life hell, maybe if i had gone down the proper revenues i might be a little bit better, plus you can get yourself a claim in. i know i would
