Default I'd Love a Panel Filter Upgrade but.........

Why oh Why are they so expensive?

With some almost costing as much as a new tyre!

All I want is to help my 3.0 breathe a little more easily lol!

Paper is very efficient as a filter element. Sometimes a good quality new element can give you a result rather than spend out on K&N's etc.
The engine can only deal with a certain amount of air unless you upgrade the valves, exhaust etc to get a true 'free flow'.

Around £44 for a K&N panel filter that will last in excess of 50,000miles.... weighed against however many standard paper filters you change while you have the car. Just the basic economics has to be worth it!

For the long term owner I can see where you are coming from there

Or from Courtenay Sport, a less expensive option which I run with. http://www.courtenaysport.co.uk/inde...d&productId=23

When you put it that way - Will probably outlast 10 paper filters.

Never seem to be any 2nd hand ones about so they must be keepers.

Just want that V6 to rumble a bit more really!

And the tyres are not the most expensive ones thats for sure
