Also I presume all Bilstein B8's are the same. Is this correct or are they different depending on the weight of the Vec in question?

I think spoons had them fitted and found them far to harsh. Think he ended up going for B6's in the end.

Will be going for B6's at some point as the B8's will be too harsh a ride to carry the family in. No experience of them, but as Rushy said Spoons had them and he found them harsh.

    I`ve got Sri estate with
Bilstein B8`s and Eibach pro kit and 17" wheels.
I was told from where I got the kit, to run 17" or 18" max wheels. As it affects handling.
I think they are FANTASTIC!!!! goes round corners like on rails very little body roll and I don`t think it`s harsh, in fact over standard SRi suspension it`s a vast improvement. Even the wife thinks it`s a better ride and far better round corners. Not as crashy.
If you have bigger wheels though I imagine ride would be hard.
Had a vec b with 19" on and it was hard and unpleasent.
    This is far better.

I use B8 with H&R springs. Sometimes the setup can be a litle to hard but the handelling compensates it all
