    Default Fifth Gear

Did anyone catch this yesterday? Is it me or are the "shootouts" they do compeltely pointless, what's the point in racing a golf gti with a skoda octavia vrs BACKWARDS!!! What does that prove exactly?

Fair enought the comparison they give beforehand when they're on the track is fairly useful but the strange ways that they're attemtpting to make the programme amusing is fairly ridiculous! last one i saw i think it was the astra against the focus and they raced them with one arm tied up!??!

On the upside, that corvette was amazing, wasn;t there one of those at santa pod when we went, it was in silver - someone might even have taken a piccie of it!

VauxVeteran - youcan take centre stage now to drool over over VBH, i know you want to!

    Wannabe Top Gear I suppose.

The whole TG FG thing is they're trying to compete....personally I prefer FG as the presenters can all drive...better than clarkson, hammond and may. Plus they seem to actually test drive cars...which is good for a motoring programme!

TG is a bit up it's own ****...I hate people telling me what I should drive...plus everytime there's a vx reference...well you know the rest...

I only look at FG to drool over VBH tbh, the rest of it insults the intelligence. I like Jason Plato & VBH (obviously) but I could chin Tiff Needle and that goon with the hair. The piece with Girls Not Allowed last week, was a waste of time & money and made the girls look more stupid than previously thought. Ten minutes of my life wasted agian.

Absolutely love TG, but enjoy FG until Tittt Needel comes on - with his obsessions about BMW's and Porches...

TG is about the best cars in the world (mostly)
FG is about the rest of the cars (mostly)

So we get best of both - if you dont like one or the other.....'click'.....

I saw her I saw her!!!

Bottom line is the reverse driving is just another Tiff look at me stunt, he probably suggested it in the 1st place, as his punishment for doing a full set of tyres while playing with the Vet last night.

The fuel cell report Tom Ford did was interesting, could end up being a subwoofers best friend, ppl of the future will play cd's of their fav engine sounds up loud to compensate for the lack of noise so the pedestrian can hear them coming

Top Gear does still reign though, probably because all other shows have Jezzers ex cronies presenting them.

The whole point of the driving backwards thing was so they "gave away" the cheapest car in their competition and therefor made the most money possible for Channel 5.
"What colour are reversing lights?" FFS, everyone knows they're black.
However, they'll get 150 000 people ringing in at least and therefor make £133k profit from the car at least.
Grump over. Don't even get me started on that tart VBH the squealing, over excited little tart.
