    Eek MOT time next week

The year has flown and I've had the Vec nearly 12 months now.

Does time go quicker as you get older or, it is just me

The Exeter Car Supermarket offer free MOT's for life so I've booked mine in.

Bundle in the lad, 2 labs and off we go !
Matford has some posh dealerships so we'll while an hour away having a look at Porsches'. Audi's, Mini Cooper S's.

    Fingers & wallet crossed

It's not just you mate, time does goes faster the older you get, can't believe I've had mine just over a year (bought in mid July) also ,good luck with the MOT and lets hope she sails through as mine did.
    Cheers Pete

    Same with me.

Got mine late June 08, only seems like late June this yr

Went straight through it's first MOT in May with favourable comments from the tester. One comment he made was:

"Have you just changed the engine oil?"

Me - "not just but about 1k miles ago, why?".

Him - "Oh, I've never seen a diesel with such clean engine oil"

They always check oil temp & level on a diesel before doing the 'smoke' test. I assume the same is done on a petrol before the 'emissions' test.

Good that I still fairly regularly see my old '51' reg 2.0DTi Vec B around the town though, still in good cond.

As it was the last few moments I owned it.

My warranty is up on 14th September and so got it booked in for it's first MOT next Friday. Gives me some time in case they spot anything major!! I doubt it like coz I've had that much warranty work done it's like a new car

    Good idea matey.
There must be a law that says a car that has everything replaced under warranty will pass the MOT...
    Lets hope so...

Would you get another Vec C after your experiences?

Well....in the past I have changed my cars like my Y fronts!! However the last few years I seem to have found some common sense and I'm keeping the Vec. The long term plan is keep it another 3 years and then change it for...........probably not another Vec C by then

    Mine passed today too.
An advisory that the windscreen sat nav holder is within the swept area...
I suppose they have to find something eh

The tester was an Exeter fan who hated PAFC too...

Anyway, back to the real world...that's that for another year
    Thank Crunchy

I know mate. I think that the Vec C is a good motor too. Reckon I'll get another newer one in 2 years time.
