CCR2006 stuck CD

As the titile suggests, the little 4CD mag in my ccr2006 has become well and truly stuck,.. won't play cd's nor will it eject... little door opens but mag stays put,.. screen says error but no help.
Any one lse had similar problem or suggestions?..

remove the unit and then remove the top cover - you should then be able to "manually" wind the gear cogs - i suspect 1 cd has become jammed on the loading mechanisism so it cant complete its cycle -once you have manually wond the mechanisim either back to the start of to the end then lubricate all of the gear cogs with a light silicone grease and plug it back in and retry

on a small note if you can see excessive wear to the cogs then i suspect that it wont help greasing and a repair/replacement unit might be the order of the day

Well off to have a crack at that then,... any thoughts on how hard this is?
looked at the how2's for an idea, not much goin on for the 2006.

oh well off i go...

hopefully (he say's with fingers crossed) not too bad

the top cover will probably "pop" off or may be held on by a few torq screws - the loading mech should be similar to a VHS video unit and these were belt/cog driven - once you open her up if you get stuck post a piccy and i will see if i can point you in the right direction

Ha ha
well, took out little grub screws on fascia,..
wasn't coming off at all easily... had little flap open to try and prise fascia off and lo and behold out pops the CD magazine
BTW it's been stuck (with various attempts to extricate it) for a week

ha ha - i would say its still worth removing and having a "lube" to prevent future misfortunes
