if i was going to get my car re-mapped would ineed to do any othr mods to the engine for it to handle the extra bhp , and whats the average price for a re-map? thanks in advance.

I don't think there's much out there for a 2.2 AFAIK. Any gains on a 2.2 from just a remap are going to be minimal and certainly won't require any other engine parts needing altered.

His usernames gone from my head, but there's a guy on here who's done a whole lot of things to his 2.2 i.e. remap, different throttle body, inlet manifold etc. to get some decent gains but also cost a fair few £££.

best thing is to get the breathing done first....then exhaust and then lot's of other expensive stuff before you have a re-map so you get the best out of it...

The 2.2 is a bit like the 3.2. Finacially it is a very expencive option to get more power form these engines.
Duncan. Are you thinking about VID. He spent a lot of time and efort on his motor. Perhaps a word with him might answer the question.
