Default Vauxhall Key Blade - Series

    Hi,

As i understand, you can get the flip vauxhall keys with 2 different kinds of blades, a H or Z series, which depends on your key code. Just wondering whats the difference? Is it only in the blade and does that mean you cannot cut a blank Z series blade to a key which has a code 'H----' ; and vice versa?

    Thanks

Don't know abot H and Z series stuff but what I do know is that you can get the Flip style key for any Vectra C. In fact most dealers now don't even give you the option of old and new style (but some do) if you get a new key from Vx it will normally be the flip style. Think you are looking at about £70 - £100 so it worth shopping round at different dealers. It also depends on the dealer if the programming of your new key is in the price or not, and in each case you'll need the security code for your vehicle off the 'Car Pass'.

Hi, I had to replace my original straight style key recently.
VX made it to order based on the VIN etc numbers.
'Flip out style' was the only one on offer with the bill to match...
Still, what else can you do in these electronic days?
