Default Cam belt - is there a way to tell if it's been changed?

I have a 125K 1.9cdti 150ps vectra estate that I bought about 6 months ago at 115K. The guy I bought it from said it was changed, but there is no specification of this change in the service book... and I did not know what to check for at the time of buying. Are there any visual inspections that can tell me the state/wear of the cam belt? or is there a sticker or some text on it I should check for dates of fabrication?

Also can I remove the cam belt cover safely? It seems to have 2 big bolts at the bottom that I'm a bit scared to remove.

Ideally there should be a sticker on the slam panel saying when it was changed. Other than that I don't really know how you would tell. (apart from doing a visual inspection)

I've never had that happen on any of my vehicles
The usual documentary proof is in the service book, either a stamp or written at the back
If the customer paid for it, then a receipt

When I have them done I ask for all the parts back, it is one of the parts you can't readily check to see if it has been done
I also like to visually inspect it for wear, damage, oil, etc

I managed to take some photos of the belt. Can you make something out of these?

the text is still there, I think normally it would of been removed in a 125K belt...

Anyway I will probably end up changing it for peace of mind...

also while I was in there I saw an oil dirty glow plug is it? it's the first from left to right as you look to the engine

what can I do about that?

I've changed lots of cambelts and to me it doesn't look like its been changed, When I changed mine at 95k miles it looked in very good condition very similar to yours. The oily patch you'll need to clean of and keep checking where its coming from, it only looks like a weep so nothing much to worry about.
