I have the 810 version of that and they are excellent but you will need a few bits from here. The second item down to retain the use of the steering wheel controls and the fitting kit at the bottom because you cant use the one the comes with the HU, slightly different size....

    http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/inst.../vauxhall.html

also swap over the yellow and red pins on the ISO connector to enable a permanent live HTH

Sorry, first one down on page 2... forgive me please

Hi mate, have a look at thid thread LINKY! my reply is at the bottom of the page. Should find all the info you need there.

Very nice choice of stereo by the way. Just read the instructions properly when installing and the you will probably need to use 'Modified wiring 2' you'll know what I mean when you read the install instruction sheet.

If you pick up a D/Din facia kit, the AVX820 will fit straight in to the supplied cage (after taking off the bolted on bits for the origional cage). The problem you'll find is because of the motorised face it will catch on the facia kit surround and just won't work. Not only this it sticks out the dash by a mile and looks awful.

You can get around the above problem by not using a cage (although this means the unit is not completely secured in placebut you can then use the units supplied surround which does not get fowled when using the motorsied face. The further problem you then have is you will need to either modify the facia so the units own surround fits into it (not easy) or alternatively make up your own facia using moulds and plastic etc then spray to the colour required.

Basically it is not as simple as one out and new one in, but it can be done. Maybe even suggest you get a proper stereo place to fit it for you and leave the problems with them??

Look at the link I have supplied but it depends on what stereo you've got at the moment etc.. If your still having probs then post back with the type of stereo you have (CD30/CD40/CDR2005), type of steering wheel controls (buttons/Scroll wheel/under steering wheel controls) and also if your display ony tells you temp and time or if you have one that tells you the miles per gallon and trip details etc... Alternatively take a picture of each and post back.

As a quick answer I reckon you'll need PC99-X80 with PC99-JVC patchlead for steering wheel controls.

    Bri.

that one is anthracite, went for it because it matches the plastic console panels at the side and gives a bit of contrast to the switches.

This is where I mounted the USB cable and an 8gb memory stick, reversing camera is next on the agenda... I put a couple of dabs of superglue on the cable to keep it snug in the corner and drilled 2 tiny holes, top and bottom of the memory stick, and fixed with a cable tie...

That's a good fit you've got there. Think i'll be copying you for the USB lead.

    Nice one.
