    Default Veccy Used Car Market

The time has come to say goodbye to my Veccy, taking a car from work....i took a tour around the local used car pitched this weekend as they all advertise we'll buy your car for cash, having read that the industry is short on quality used cars i thought i might be in with a good chance of getting a reasonable deal and save the hastle of advertising and tyre kickers- i can't believe how wrong i could have been....

they are a bunch of robbing gits, i think they all belonged to the same network, The Dick Turpin Motor Group.

I have access to all the diffent values, cap, glass's parkers etc - so knew what was a good offer - non of them offered even bottom book!

and so battered and bruised from that experience it has found its way on the trader....waiting for the phone to ring...

Good luck with AT, have you considered ebay or selling on commission at a local garage?

it is demoralising - they all commented how saleable the car is for its condition, its colour etc, a few just said shame it wasn't diesel - all they could see was £££ notes to make a quick buck... any way here she is in all her glory...

Such is the way of the car market. You'll always get a bad offer from garages because they have to sell the car on at a profit to keep in business, and you're only giving it to them to save on the hassle of selling it privately.

I discovered this last year when I went to have a look at an 05 Signum 1.9 150 Elite Signum with 91K. I was offered 3 grand for mine, an 05 Vectra SRi 1.9 150 with 72K. I would've had to spend 2500 squid to swap them...

    That's business though...

    Robbing gets!

You understand that they need to make a profit but offering less then 5k is taking the mickey.

Hope you get a good buyer.

    Nice looking car.
If it was diesel they'd say 'pity it wasn't petrol'...
Nice car for someone at about £5k.

The real irony is when I'm looking for a motor I alaways struggle to find a decent one like yours
