Had this steering issue with mine and they changed the pump under warranty, however it still feels like it's sometimes heavier than at other times (not as heavy as it used to get) think it's probably the tyres warming up and giving better grip and/or strut top bearing are suspect, now the warranty's run out I just can't afford to start throwing money at this damn car, defo going Jap after this car has had it's day!!LOL
Anyway, hope you get yours sorted mate.
    Cheers Pete

    Which ones it going to?
I've not used Linwood yet, and Glasgow South are getting quite used to my big lump
It's the first cambelt they had ever done on a 3.0 V6 CDTI
The labour time was 6 hours and they managed to complete it in just under 5, they also only have one mechanic qualified on this engine

Steering fairly light it's just now and again especially if stuck in heavy traffic and air-con on I seem to notice it gets slightly heavier; How do you mean, not fitted properly?
    Cheers Pete

See how they compare to Glasgow South then
I usually get phoned about an hour after I've left the car, to confirm what the fault is, whether the warranty claim is approved, if not then for my permission to proceed, whether the parts are / will be available, and finally an estimated ready time
However, they're not so good at reporting when the job is completed, with a delay of between half and two hours!
As a result I tend to go in shortly after 15:00 (as nothing gets done between 13:00 and 14:00), and when ready I can get my car back instantly
