1.8 16v LS 03 Vectra / Car spanner Warning light

Hi all, I just looking for some advice, randomly when driving, my car/spanner warning light comes on. Sometimes its will stay on for a couple of sec and somes about 1 min. It always goes out again.

While the light is on, there is no other indication of a problem. The car runs fine no problem and there is No loss of power at all.

There is no really patten to the light, somes days it may not come on and some days it will come on a couple of times. Sometimes seems to be worse when driving and bad roads(bumpy road). Apart from that no patten.

I didn't know if it could be a loose senors somewhere or something.

Any advice would be helpful, Thanks for your time.

could be a loose connection,really though that only comes on when it needs a service i think?

Yer I through that, But after reading into it the service lights is the one that comes up on the miles read out, when its due. But it the car/spanner on the rev counter lol, thanks for the reply

Hi mate, on page 202 of my owners manual (2004 1.8sxi) it states,, "if the light comes on briefly and then goes out again this is of no significance" When I first got my Vec-C this light came on for a few secconds then whent out, once or twice it stays on for a minute or so, I have done over 10,000 miles since I got my sxi last December with no problems. if it drives ok I dont think there is anything to worry about,,rgds ANT.
