Hi there I was getting some money out of the bank today and the place where I parked was a slip road into a bus stop. As i was getting back into my car a Police van stopped and they gave me a £60 fine and 3 points for code offence 094 Contravening A No Entry Sign????

Surely this would be classed as a normal parking ticket i.e a fine, Are they able to give me 3 points aswell?

Really peaved off over this as there was a van infront of me doing the same thing and he just drove off they only picked me out for what ever reason?

if u signed the ticket u have admited the offence. but u could still fight it in court which sounds the best option.

utter t****rs they wonder why everyone hates them, curious to know the crime figures, why dont they tackle that instead. easy money from the motorist yet again

The new arrangements commenced on Monday 17th November 2003

From this date the Police will cease to have any powers to enforce yellow lines and other parking restrictions. All enforcement will be carried out by and on behalf of the Council.

The Police will continue to issue parking tickets for parking on pedestrian crossing zig-zags as this offence also carries penalty points

From the above info they should not be able to enforce any fixed penalty for what they have charged me with?

They have not given you a parking ticket... which is what the above legislation is in relation to.... they have given you a ticket for failing to comply with a compulsory traffic sign.

My offence codes book is in my locker at work, so I'm not able to check that for you.
