Depends on if under warranty and who pays for servicing...
Service schedule is 10 years / 100K miles
I managed to get VX to do mine early (service plan) as the next service would be over the 100K miles
I see you have a 1.9 CDTI 150
I would recommend you get a quote for the complete kit and to include the water pump
I would expect a quote around £200 - £250
That's cheap compared to what the 3.0 V6 CDTI is!
I had a quote for mine and it was £290 after discount, however the full price invoice to VX was £440
If it was me I would have got the cambelt ( and the pullies tensioner, and water pump) all replaced at 40.000miles VX did at one point increase to cambelt change to 80.000 miles. But changed it back due to some cambelts breaking before the "new" 80.000 miles. If I was you I would get the cambelt changed as soon as you can.Serious damage may occur if the belt breaks.
From 2004MY onwards these service schedules are 10 years / 100K miles
I do agree though VX never seem to be able to make their mind up
Check if the cambelt uses poly rollers, if so then half the cambelt service interval, as these have a habit of ceasing and then collapsing
I myself will be having the cambelt next done in another 80K miles (which in effect is every fourth service), having just be done on fifth service
I use an independent garage who are very honest - they sometimes tell me I don't need something doing when I have thought it did - however they still recommened the "old" 40K miles. Potential cost if it goes wrong is enormous, so I'd suggest getting it done pretty soon.
