Calliper Removal

hi there i have had a few problems with my rear offside calliper sticking, after many times of removing it from the carrier and freeing it off i am getting to the point now where it needs replacing.

I have had a look at it and i can see that the brake line needs removing which seems easy enough however the handbrake cable....... i cant see how to remove the handbrake cable, does anyone know how to do this.

its on a 1.8i 16v club vecrta c.

Untill I get home I cant help mate. Bump it again later nearer 5pm for when we start getting in from work. I belive there is a kit to service the caliper. It's usually the slider bolts that stick and a good clean of them usually sorts the problem.

handbrake.. pretty easy... to remove from the caliper grab the end of the cable (flat bit near the lever arm) with a pair of pliers. pull on this until you can unhook from the caliper itself. The cable goes through a thick rubber neck set into the caliper itself. the whole rubber neck and cable come out as one piece, its bluddy tight/stiff so plenty of wd40 on that....
