    Default european driving.

We are of across europe in a couple of weeks driving the Vectra
down as far as Austria, The last time we had the vectra in Germany, a local opel dealer advised us that we should not use stick on beam deflectors, but instead the headlight beam should be "adjusted" inside the lamp. He was
happy to do this, but said it would take three hours to do so, bumper off and so on. I have been looking at old threads today and read about day running time lights, but no answer to the above.

    Any advise appreciated.

yep if i was a dealer in the current economic climate i would be telling you that i wouldnt use stickers as well easy way to make in excess of £200 because when you come back - guess what they need sorting again

as kenp said lever in the rear of pre face lift lamps there is a how2 on here or slap some stikers on and let the dealer go con some poor other sod

0-Large smile ......every time it's driven

I drove several times in Europe, and weren't bothered about lowering lights. You can always use your 0-3 light adjustement switch inside of the car if you notice blinding other road users. If you really worried about this you can change the lever position as other says - easy enough, but I would not personally spend a penny on it. Think more of First Aid Kit, Reflective vest(s) and warning triangle.

    Hi Luke

Here in France the plod often sit with a laser gun at a tunnel exit and if they don't get you for speeding, then they may get you for no lights on or uncorrected lights if used. I get really sick of being blinded by lazy Brits who can't be bothered to use benders or flick a lever or spin the dial (not officially good enough though), but here the police take the oppurtunity to take some €uro's off you on the spot, or escort you to a cash point or even impound the car until money turns up - never get lippy either as they have guns...

many thanks guys, youre right given the economic climate, dealers
are charging that will turn a coin, I understand that it's called self preservation.

Plasma, thanks for the offer, we are in Oxford from Saturday till Monday,
if you have a pictures of how to flip the to lhd, then that should suffice.

Anyway, will a visit not interupt Soulman's decorating.

You have to use the stickers on the facelift lights as there is no lever to change them.
